That is a good point to consider (FFL cost, magazine, shipping etc.) in the overall deal. The Exiter marking is there, and the serial number seems to indicate fairly recent production. However, they also have "PW Arms Redmond WA. "
on them. That, and the serial number on the slide, barrel, and frame, along with the proof mark would seem to indicate German manufacture.

But you are also correct about one being as good as the other, I have both, but prefer the older folded slide models. If you look at the photos closely, they also appear to not have an external extractor, although there is not much of the rear of the ejection port shown. They have had an external extractor for several years.

Maybe they are new old stock.
