5.45 or 7.62x39 Semi

Not looking to ask which is better (as that's been hashed out hundreds of times) but wanting to know if today's prices are here to stay on these Saiga's/WASR's, or if they will be going down some? I'd like to get something semi-affordable to shoot, and a .223/5.56 or .308 gun really isn't going to cut it anymore.

Thoughts?

Plus, what is a good one to buy and what are some good upgrades to look into? It's been a while since I've owned something in a Ruskie caliber.
