Savage 64 TR-SR thread length and Sparrow

I bought a Savage 64 TR-SR for the threaded barrel, and when I try to screw on my SilencerCo Sparrow, it bottoms out before touching the shoulder of the barrel. I know a spacer is needed, but all the ones I have looked at seem too thick. I dont want peel washers, but a spacer that is machined for the correct purpose. Has anyone found a good spacer, preferably threaded, for this purpose? The link is to the 64 TR-SR so everyone will know which rifle Im talking about

Bullet length

I've got a Taurus PT 709 Slim that does not like Berrys old style hollow point bullets. It will cycle them if you shorten the COAL to 1.050" (the powder load is reduced of course).

It loves cast 124 grain Round Nose bullets and cycles them great with a COAL of 1.125"

Yes guns are funny.

Case length for AR

I'm getting ready to start reloading for my AR .I've never reloaded before so this is all new to me . Still waiting on back ordered bullets and powder . I have a couple thousand rounds of brass and started cleaning , sizing and swaging the primer pockets .

I have read and or was told that if I'm going to crimp I will want all my cases to be the same length . I believe this is so each crimp will be consistent to the next . I bought the lee manual case cutting tool for 223 . It cuts them very well and very consistent . the problem if there is one is it cuts them to 1.745 and my reloading book says cut the case to 1.750 . Is the cutter cutting the cases to small or will that length be fine . I have about 500 cases cleaned and sized . I stopped at 500 cus I'm not even sure if all of those are done correctly . I did the work per the instructions I'm assuming there fine . Just don't want to ruin all 2k all at once before I even reload one .

Anyways I started cutting them to length and stopped at about 20 cus they all are .005 less the what the Hornady book recommends . Is the 1.750 just a recommendation or is it the minimum length I should go .

Jacket length vs bullet weight

My Google fu isn't doing well on this one.

I appreciate that the shape provided by the point form die will make this variable, but is there a chart somewhere that shows the suggested jacket length for bullets of a certain caliber and weight?

For instance, perhaps a 22 jacket 0.705 long is good for bullets between 50 and 55 grains.

44 magnum, what barrel length?

I've had both lengths, and much prefer the 8-3/8" both for looks/style and performance.

When hunting, I use a cross-chest bandillero-type holster ( a Bianchi 4100 Ranger ), so bbl length isn't a carrying issue - and the guns are handheld while actually hunting/stalking.
