start of a sermon -true

There was once two brothers, very rich, widely known as scoundrels, for cheating the poor, swindling widows and kicking dogs. One of the brothers died, the surviving brother went to a preacher and asked him to do the services. The preacher was offered a thousand dollars if he would say, the deceased was "a Saint" during the eulogy.

The day of the funeral the preacher took the pulpit and began listing all of the crimes and evils for which the deceased was responsible. At the height of listing the sins of the deceased, the preacher, shouted, ...."But next to his sorry brother, this man was a saint!"
