I won an Ohous roundball mold on Ebay recently. Hasn't arrived yet. What handles will fit it? It is my first step away from Lee handle included molds.

RCBS handles fit most of my old OHAUS molds. LEE 6-cavity handles will work if thinned slightly.Jerry

I thought lyman bought out ohaus.
it's all an educated guess,,,, till the trigger is pulled.the more i find out about shootin boolits, the more it contradicts everything i ever learned about shooting jaxketed.

Lyman handles work just fine with my mold.
Uh . . . Hhmmm . . . Unless the morning coffee hasn't kicked in yet I think Ohaus was bought by RCBS, not Lyman.Rick

I think that OHAUS and Lachmiller molds were purchased by RCBS. OHAUS Scale Company still exists and has supplied scales to several companies through the years (including both RCBS and Lyman).
We still purchase OHAUS scales for lab use.Jerry

From Ingot To Target By Glen Fryxell - Chapter one, page 16. From Ingot to TargetLachmiller of Glendale, California entered the loading tool business in 1952, and offered a complete line of reloading tools, dies, sizers, presses, etc. In 1969 Lachmiller introduced a line of well-made 2 and 3-cavity bullet moulds. Lachmiller continued to make bullet moulds into the 1970s, but then sold off their product line to RCBS in the later part of that decade.
Ohaus started offering bullet moulds in a big way in 1972, entering the market with 68 different bullet designs, as well as 19 round ball moulds. Ohaus moulds were cut with tungsten carbide cherries for durability and consistency. A few years later RCBS bought out Ohaus, and continues to produce many of these bullet moulds today.
This is how RCBS got into mold making with such an extensive line of such excellent boolit designs.
More folks here should read this book, every page has interesting, useful information.
