1992 article on Glock paranoia

What I remember most distinctly about the campaign to derail Glocks in this country was the mantra that they could defeat "metal detectors".

I remember coming home from a semi auto pistol class and mentioning the Glock to my Dad.

"Oh" he says, "that's the kind terrorists use to get past metal detectors at airports, right?" Dad was no dolt. He had a masters degree in history, read and spoke German and Spanish passably, coached.

But...... He'd been brainwashed by the media of the time.
