Both were reliable; no failures in either over the course of thousands of rounds.
Both were very accurate.
I found the M&P to be a better grip fit for me, partly due to the interchangeable backstraps, and partly due to the fit around the trigger guard for my middle finger.
The Glock has a 3 round (30%) capacity advantage, so if it fits your hand well it may be the better choice; of the two, I preferred the M&P.
However, I decided that in .45acp, I prefer 1911s, so I sold my polymers.
