Does anyone remember Grandma saving the bacon fat in the fridge? I do. She lived during WW2 and told me they used to save it to make ammunition with it. I always wondered about that. What did they use it for? I was thinking bullet lube but all the rounds in WW2 were jacketed. Was lube used on these rounds? Dumb question but I always wondered....
