varmint nightmare bullet review

Specifically the 20-cal 34gr HPFB.

For those interested in affordable high volume shooting, and were wondering about the Midsouth bullets.
They group amazingly in my Predator, easy to make 5 touch at 100. They seem to be mild mannered in terms of consistency across the velocity range. They just don't quite have the consistent lift of the tipped premium stuff, but it is very close. The only part that can be a little disappointing is on occasion with rock chuck sized critters, there is no show; almost like you fired a fmj. Inspection shows a fur bearing jello mold, so the bullet was perfectly effective; just random failures to launch.
With sage rat/ground squirrel sized critters, there have been none of those random bullet results. Just pieces littering the ground.

For those of us that remember our dear friend Bob, he was a big fan of the 204 for coyotes. I'm not as zealous for that purpose. Headshots with these bullets are devastating however.
