Winchester 1895 in .30-03

.

As per my previuos reply here, Gun show dealers buy LOW, to make a score for resale, or they don't buy at all - after all, they're not gun lovers like most of us, they're businessmen who make a buck the best way they can, beit guns, cars, or pencils.

Ditto most of the walk-around public - who don't (as a rule) have the deep pockets found in gun auction bidders.

"Condition" is everything, and being a Carbine certainly helps - as would a Cody letter on the gun, which would prove beyond a doubt how it left New Haven.
Google ".30-03 Winchester 1895 Carbine" and look through the first several pages of results.

A seller will only get out of something, the effort they make/put into selling it, and I've found out the hard way that a proper presentation/documentation goes a long way to bringing more money for whatever.

That includes good pics (if an online auction), and a good (language) description (look at some premier/antique auction site item descriptions to get a handle on how the best way to do so).

Please remember: There's only one chance, to make that first impression.
