Remington shotgun bead

The front bead of my Remington 11-87 is too big, too high and too bright, and I tend to shoot to low with it. I'd like to mount a a lower and less bright one, perhaps a simple Marble silver bead.

But how does the bead sit into the rib - pressed or threaded? And which thread?

Thankful as usual for your inputs - I will order a new bead when I know what I need.

Regards,

Pete
