Squirrel rifle for plinking

Have been thinking about getting a 36 caliber muzzleloader as an alternative plinking rifle. I thought it would be a nice alternative now and in the future when .22 rounds are harder to come by. The rub is that I currently have a cz rimfire which is consistently grouping under 1/2" at 50 yards. I've become kinda spoiled in the accuracy department.

I was wondering about the experience of members on this forum with using muzzleloaders in .32 and .36 calibers for plinking? Did you find them to be good alternatives to rimfires? What kind of real world accuracy is possible with these small bore muzzleloaders? 1/2" at 50 yards? 1" at 50 yards?

Thanks.
