Floyd County proud of young hunter!

Cast Boolits - Dedicated To The World Of Cast Bullets!

A young lady here in Floyd County shoot her first turkey recently and made the local paper. 6 year old Lorelie Cox killed a 10 inch bearded gobbler on Youth Day with a Cricket rifle.

Congratulations, Miss Cox! We're all very proud of you!!

Isn't that just a proud young lady.

Real cool; never would have published in many parts of the country by left leaning press.

Thanks Jim for the pic, it warms the heart to see the young children doing want most of us here were was raised doing. Congrats to her, and to her parents.
I sent it to a few of my friend's that are big tukey hunters, they think that they have to have fancy shotguns and fancy 3.5in shells with the turkey on the box. I Just have to rub it in a little!

Congratulations to her AND Her parents for teaching her well!

Wish we were not restricted to shotgun only for birds ...

I'm just waitin' for an opportunity to ask one of these magnum minded turkey hunters why he doesn't just use a Cricket in 22 LR.

I am doing that now. Got to rub it in!

That's great. I remember when my brother knocked down a pheasant, his first. It fell over and then jumped and started running away. My Dad had to run it down and grab it. Turns out only the beak got shot! Fun times. Great memories.

Awesome brings back good memories of my Son. Thanks
Great Post! My youngest son's first gun was a Cricket. He only wishes that it had been decked out with such a fine scope.
I have a privately held theory that kids with guns and fishing poles avoid drugs and other corrosive peer pressure. I belong to a club that spends a lot of money and time cultivating hunter safety, gun safety, then gun fun, and fishing for youngsters. Those kids are the future of our outdoor sports. Try to support anyone promoting the introduction of kids to shooting and fishing.

Well done young lady. Good to see freedom still exists in the world, a pic like that in this country would have police weapons branch children services and RSPCA officers on ones doorstep.

That is why my kids go hunting with me, fishing with me, ride the tractor with me (safely, of course and not while using implements) etc. The worse thing that I am probably teaching my kids is that you garnish a Coke with a little snort. And they will figure that out eventually any way.

Darned good hunt for that little girl. What do you think she will want to do next year? I can guess....

I came into this world kicking, screaming, and covered in someone elses blood. I plan to go out the same way.
Bet you wish she was yours, don't you Jim?If I had a grand daughter like that, I would think I'm so special, y'all would have to make an appointment to talk to me!

very very cool. a FINE YOUNG LADY AND A GOOD SET OF PARENTS. We have not yet failed as a society as long as the youth, at least some of them understand and know God, the rifle, freedom, the responsibility that comes with each, family and the outdoors. This warmed my heart.
