nickle plating

Most screws are available from Brownell's or directly from S&W.

I'd not replace the barrel, just give it a good cleaning, same for the rest of the gun. Anything you do will not enhance the guns value beyond its cost to do the work. Cleaned up, the m10 even with pits and a rough barrel is a fine quality revolver for self defense and plinking.

If you want a fancier model clean the M10 and sell it, and get what you want, maybe stainless, etc. In the long run you will save money and be happier camper.

I have lots of old guns that were in terrible shape....I "reabilitate" them. They are shootable, but will never be a top end collector weapon, fun to shoot.
