I just got a great deal on this Lyman block at a gun show ($20). I know what the the numbers mean ( 168 gr Keith style SWC PB) but what does the AX mean?
it's for the cherry and it's maker.
kind of a batch lot number thing.
it's all an educated guess,,,, till the trigger is pulled.

the more i find out about shootin boolits, the more it contradicts everything i ever learned about shooting jaxketed.

If its a 2 cavity I'll give you $50 for it Been looking for one for awhile now, Nice score

That mold makes my 357 Max suitable for the local bears. Been wanting one for a while. I just cast the first few boolits and they drop right at 174 gr. The drive band is certainly impressive.
