I am working with a Remington XR-100 with a 27" 1:8 twist Bartlein barrel chambered in 300 Blackout.
I am just beginning to work with the cartridge. So far, I have a brand new still in the box, Lyman 311284 210 gr CG mold. That may be a little light for subsonic loads from what I read. Other choices would be the NOE 247 gr and the Lee TL 309-230 5R, which is much cheaper. Yes, I know the story of buying cheap and then buying good.

My questions is this. A forum member here sent me some samples (pay it forward) of both the NOE and the Lee. A .30 Hornady CG seems to fit on the boat tail base of the Lee boolit. Has anyone had experience doing this. If so what are your impressions?

Thanks,
Bill
