i have quite a few lee moulds - the twin 459-500, the twin 457-405, and a pair of the single 459-405HB's. the 457-405 drops out too small as my 45-70's prefer 459 and 460 diameter lead, so the 457-450 won't do.

the 459-500 has been working well out to 200 yards, but i've heard from more than a few long distance shooters that it's not good much past 300 yards - need to trial that out for myself.

that leaves the 459-405HB, which is a faithful rendition of the original trapdoor bp bullet that spencer wolf had nei and lee duplicate, and increasing its weight for longer distance was my thinking.

thanx for all your input, much obliged.
