Check shank issue

I have a new .454 custom mold from LBT. It casts 1 thousandths over stamped size, but the gas check shank is too small to hold a Hornady check on after sizing. The check will spin on the bullet and lube pressure will blow it off the base of the bullet. Does any one have any suggestions regarding a possible fix? I think it could be reamed or honed to size, but I do not think I have the proper equipment for the job.

Send it back to Veral with a couple of GCs, he'll make it right, i wouldn't mess around with a good mold like his, but hey, getting the shank the right size is part of his responsibility. You aren't using some skinny, home made checks are you?
I believe he said he was using Hornady checks.

I would also recommend sending the mold back.

hornady's should snap on or push on with some friction pressure.
i'd contact veral.
it's all an educated guess,,,, till the trigger is pulled.

the more i find out about shootin boolits, the more it contradicts everything i ever learned about shooting jaxketed.
